To Prepare for Your Reiki Session
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND:
Reiki is a relaxing process which is best received when one remains quiet and still. It is important that you do not talk during your session, unless it is absolutely necessary. The flow of Reiki energy can only be fully appreciated when one is open and in tune with one’s body.
When receiving Reiki in your private home or office, please arrange the session during a time when you expect to be free from interruptions. Make sure any phones or other electronic devices are turned off and that family members, coworkers, roommates or pets will allow you the undisturbed time required for your session. Make sure to attend to any personal needs before the session begins.
During your Reiki session, you may choose to hear relaxing background music (I have various selections to pick from), or to simply enjoy the silence.
It usually takes a moment or two to “return to the world” once the session is complete. This is due to the deeply relaxing, meditational nature of this healing modality. It is recommended that you take some time to reflect on your experience, and jot down any notes in a journal, if you feel inclined. Commonly, effects may be first felt up to a few days from the time of the actual session. I will be happy to discuss the details of your session at a later time, either in person or over the phone.
